Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!
I set up this website so I can share our trip plans and updates, photos, stories and other things I think you and the rest of the internet might enjoy. The goals of this blog include keeping my family and friends up to date on what's going on as well as sharing any information I learn through this process. I am an avid researcher, so I have put a lot of time and thought into certain aspects of this trip and I hope that by sharing them I can help others in planning and taking their own journeys (and it will act as a reminder for me as well for future trips!)
I want to start the first post with a big thank you all of the friends and family who made it to our going away party last weekend and all those who could not make it, but reached out to say hi/bye. We love you all and thank you so much for your support!
(Alena and Alan at Lost&Found in Oakland, California)
Much more to come soon!
Cheers,
Alan
P.S. I want to make is clear that this is my blog with my thoughts and points of view. Alena is my partner on this trip in all manners, but I am the one writing these posts and editing them. She may disagree with me or interpret parts of our trip very different than I do.
P.S.S. This is my first blog so bear with me. I will be experimenting with the whole blog experience as I go along. Hopefully we can all look back and see some progress in my blogging but I don't want to get ahead of my self. Just be aware that there will be some growing pains along the way. 😜
